In addition to raising more than $32 million for various organizations, he built four art centers for the City of LA, a Boys & Girls Club, and a Theatre for the City of Long Beach. January Events

The Holiday Season is always extra-special at MonteCedro, a time for friends and family, giving and receiving, and joy and gratitude. In 2025, MonteCedro had its fair share of trying times, which has made this year’s festive celebrations particularly special.

    An Active Lifestyle

MonteCedro residents are some of the most active people you will ever meet at any age. Even during the holiday season, when cheer and comfort are the focus, our residents didn’t let the season slow them down. Fitness at MonteCedro is about more than just exercise. It’s about momentum, mindset, and meaningful connection. Every activity gets stronger when we do them together.

    Happy 2026

Our residents love a good party and New Year’s Eve presented the perfect opportunity. The community came together to celebrate the bubbly, appetizers, and a scrumptious dinner. Everyone waved goodbye to 2025, and opened their arms to embrace 2026!

    A New Perspective

MonteCedro is proud to be part of the ECS family of active senior living communities, an organization at the forefront of senior care, support, and lifestyle. Recently, ECS staff came together for a new and powerful training experience. Through immersive learning and hands-on training exercises, more than 30 team members became Certified Dementia Practitioners. From caregivers and nurses to dining and transportation staff, everyone walked away with new tools and a deeper understanding of how to support residents with empathy and respect.

    Music and Melody

The air was filled with beautiful harmonies when The Whiffenpoofs visited our community. Founded at Yale in 1909, they are America’s oldest collegiate A Cappella group. Though dressed in tux and tails, this group of fabulous young singers was anything but stuffy. Singing to a packed house, appreciative residents were tapping their toes, humming along, and smiling from ear to ear.

    Community, Together

A team from MonteCedro took part in the Altadena Forever Run in support of those recovering from the devastation of the Eaton Fire, one year ago. The skies opened and rain fell, but it did not dampen the spirit of the day as thousands of runners and walkers showed up for the beautiful city of Altadena. Tears fell as neighbors embraced and cheers filled the course as people gathered in front of lots where their homes once stood. It was a special event and we were so fortunate to be a part of it.
