This 1942 romantic comedy drama was directed by George Stevens and stars Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. It is the first of nine films Hepburn and Tracy made together. The movie will be shown after the discussion.

    Parkinson’s Disease

    Join us as we welcome Dr. Neal Hermanowicz, Neurologist in the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Program at Hoag’s Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute. Parkinson’s disease is the world’s fastest-growing neurological disorder, surpassing Alzheimer’s disease, yet researchers still do not know its exact cause. Treatments continue to improve, but a cure remains elusive. Dr. Hermanowicz will discuss the diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, treatments, and the status of current research.

In addition to raising more than $32 million for various organizations, he built four art centers for the City of LA, a Boys & Girls Club, and a Theatre for the City of Long Beach.
